The sophomore album will drop on the 4th of March, 2022.
2022 will see the release of mouth-watering projects. One of them is Cruel Santino's sophomore album Subaru Boys: Final heaven.
After two years since Cruel Santino's debut project Mandy and the Jungle, which received critical acclaim, within and beyond the Alte scene, this sophomore album is one that draws high anticipation not only for its prolonged overdue release but its A-list features, which includes, UK-Nigerian grime rapper Skepta, Grammy winner Koffee, American Indie-pop singer Gus Dapperton, rising Afro-fusion star Amaraee, Maison 2500, Odunsi(The Engine) and more.
During an Instagram live in 2020, the artist, formerly known as Santi, teased that Wizkid, Bella Shmurda, and Rema were set to appear on Sabaru Boys: Final Heaven. However, the final tracklist, along with snippets, show otherwise. For some reason, Big Wiz, Bella Shmurda, and the Raver king are absent from the final cut.
Formerly known as Santi, the Alte singer is prominent from his unorthodox sound, creative music production techniques, and consistent evolution. With a Cruel Santino single or project, you never know what to expect, and delightfully so. His flawless blend of various music genres and ambitious approach to album making is one of the facets that set the End of the wicked singer as a championing entity in modern Afrobeat.
"If you think Mandy and the jungle was great, wait to see what we did in Sabaru Boys", Cruel Santino boasts in an animated trailer that details the uniqueness of his upcoming project. Based on the released fiery snippets he posted on his official Instagram page, the lengthy album of 21 tracks will cause the Alte scene to feast in the first quarter of the new year.
The sophomore album will drop on the 4th of March, 2022.
