IGP Ibrahim Idris' decision to withdraw policemen guarding indivisuals and private companies has been generating reactions.
The Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris has ordered the immediate withdrawal of Police officers attached to individuals and private companies in Nigeria.
The head, Public Complaint Rapid Response Unit, Yomi Shogunle, disclosed this via Twitter on Monday, March 19, 2018.
Shogule, an Assistant Commissioner of Police, noted that the IGP had also ordered return of all Police number plates.
He added that a task force would be set up to check the covering of number plates and illegal use of sirens.
The move has, however, been generating mixed reactions.
