Super Eagles goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa says he is fully fit for the international friendly games against Poland and Serbia after being included in the list of players coach Gernot Rohr invited for the 2018 FIFA World Cup build-up games later in the month, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Ezenwa who returned to training last week after the injury he sustained while on duty for Nigeria during the African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Morocco said he feels happy to be called upon to represent Nigeria again.
“I am glad to be invited for the two international friendly matches and I promise to give my best,” Ezenwa told CSN.
“I want to thank the coaches for the confidence and belief they have in me and I want to say that this is another opportunity for me to serve my country.
“I have started training for over two weeks now and I can say that I am very okay and ready to play.)
The Enyimba FC keeper added: “I am also happy that we are playing these friendly matches because I believe the matches will help us to prepare well for the World Cup.”
Nigeria will play Poland in Warsaw on March 23 and face Serbia on March 27 in London in the World Cup build-up games.
